Ohio State Synchronized Swimmers Leah and Leayn Pinette Named to U.S. National Team II Roster – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State synchronized swimmers Leah and Leayn Pinette were named to the U.S. National Team II roster April 27 at the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Complex in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The twin sisters are two-time Team II qualifiers, as they were members of the 2005 group.
The Team II squad will open its 2006 campaign at the U.S. Open July 16-22 in Orlando, Fla.
The Buckeyes recently finished fourth at the 2006 U.S. National Championships at the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Complex. Ohio State’s Becky Kim (Jr., Walnut Creek, Calif./Walnut Creek Aquanuts) was fifth (92.751) in the solo event and Carly Grimshaw (Sr., Markham, Ontario/Synchro Optima) and Chelsea Luker (Sr., Montreal, Quebec/Montreal Synchro) were eighth in the duet event (90.668). The OSU `A’ team finished third (94.668) in the team competition and the Buckeye `B’ team was seventh (91.917).
