COLUMBUS, Ohio – Bill Jones, senior director of ticketing for Ohio State, announced Sunday the policy for obtaining tickets for the Ohio State men’s basketball team’s NCAA tournament games in Dayton, Ohio. The Buckeyes will open the tournament vs. Davidson Friday.
Ohio State students, faculty and staff who ordered 2005-06 OSU men’s basketball season tickets may place an application for a lottery ticket at the Jerome Schottenstein Center Ticket Office, beginning at 8 a.m. Monday through 5 p.m. Tuesday. Applicants should specify if they are students or faculty/staff. The names of all individuals and winning lottery numbers who receive tickets will be posted Tuesday evening in the Jerome Schottenstein Center and on ohiostatebuckeyes.com. Payment for the tickets must be received by 4 p.m. Wednesday. All tickets will be held for pick-up at the tournament site and must be picked up by the original applicant.
Tickets will not be available for season ticket holders and the general public through the Ohio State athletic ticket office. Ohio State’s initial allotment of 550 tickets will be used for the players’ families, the official university travel party, the coaching staff and Ohio State students and faculty/staff as noted earlier.
Individuals who are not eligible to purchase tickets via the lottery should contact the tournament site to check availability.
