Postgame Notes

The crowd of 40,890 was the largest to witness an Ohio State men’s hockey game.

The meeting was the first between Ohio State and Wisconsin since the NCAA tournament first round March 26, 2004 and the first in the regular season since 1969, as the first eight meetings between the teams took place from 1965-69. UW has won all 10 matchups with the Buckeyes.
Barton has goals in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.
The Badgers’ power-play goal ended OSU’s streak of consecutive penalty kills at 20, dating back to a game at Michigan Feb. 3.
