The award by Top Drawer Soccer is the second of Collison’s career. The sophomore earned the weekly honor this time last year (Oct. 3, 2005) after tallying a three-goal weekend vs. Illinois (Sept. 30) and Iowa (Oct. 2).

With her three-goal outing against Northwestern, Lisa Collison is tied for second all time for the most goals scored by a Buckeye in a game. Collison joins five former Buckeyes in the records list. Tiffany Tisdale (1994-97) owns the record with four goals against the Miami RedHawks in 1997.
THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT JESSE
Despite dropping its first match at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium this season against Northwestern, Ohio State owns an impressive record of 84-39-10 (.669) in Columbus.

Barnes recorded 22 shutouts in her four-year career and opened the `98 campaign with shutout victories against Evansville (1-0) and Louisville (5-0).
Prior to Barnes, only Stacey Smith (1993 and 1995) tallied consecutive shutouts in the first two games of a season.
LAST TIME OUT
VS. NO. 11 PENN STATE
Despite out shooting Penn State, 17-10, Ohio State fell, 1-0, to the 11th-ranked Nittany Lions Oct. 15 at Jeffrey Field in University Park, Pa.
Almost identical to the match up last season in Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, the Scarlet and Gray gave up an early goal to the Nittany Lions, but held strong for the remainder of the game.
In 2005, Ohio State relinquished a goal in the sixth minute, but held then-No. 1 Penn State scoreless the rest of the way. This time around, Nittany Lion Katie Schoepfer scored on a clean breakaway and beat OSU keeper Lauren Robertson to put the ball in the net in the seventh minute. Ali Krieger was credited with the assist.
OSU recorded nine shots in the first period, including four on goal, but could not finish. Senior tri-captain Melissa Miller headed a couple of Buckeye chances in the 19th and 22nd minutes, as did fellow captain Lisa Grubb in the 41st minute, but neither was able to even the score to possibly send the match to overtime.
The Buckeye defense limited the Nittany Lions to four shots in the second half, including just one on goal to keep them in the game. Ohio State fired eight shots with three on net.
For the match, Robertson tallied six saves and PSU keeper Alyssa Naeher had seven stops. In corner kicks, Ohio State finished the game with a 4-3 advantage.
