Big Ten Announces Spring and At-Large Academic All-Conference Selections – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State led the Big Ten with 155 honorees when the conference announced its annual spring and at-large academic all-conference selections Thursday. The Buckeyes had a conference-record 260 total honorees this year, breaking the record of 250 Ohio State set in 2003-04. OSU had 249 selections last year.
In all, the Big Ten recognized 1,952 Academic All-Big Ten honorees during the 2004-05 academic year, the highest total in the last 11 seasons. OSU is second among conference schools with 2,130 selections over the last 11 seasons, behind only Penn State (2,310).
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade-point average of 3.0 or better.
