Dials Named Men’s Basketball Captain – Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State center Terence Dials was named team captain, Jim O’Brien, Ohio State head men’s basketball coach, announced Monday.
Dials, who will be a junior in the fall, began his duties this week as the Buckeyes began offseason conditioning at Value City Arena.
As a sophomore, Dials averaged 10.4 points and 6.6 rebounds while shooting better than 50 percent from the field and 71 percent from the foul line. He was second in scoring and was the team’s leading rebounder.
The 6-foot-9-inch native of Youngstown, Ohio, ended the 2003-04 season by making 14 of his last 17 shots from the field to average 22 points and 9.0 rebounds in 30 games.
With 29 starts, Dials tied for the team lead with Velimir Radinovic. Dials also scored the second most field goals (111) and foul shots (91) for the Buckeyes this season.
