LaToya Turner, a senior center from Pickerington, Ohio, was available for a live Internet chat on Tuesday, March 16 at 12:30 p.m. EST at www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com. Turner is a member of the Ohio State women’s basketball team that is 20-9 on the year, 11-5 in the Big Ten and finished third in the conference. The Buckeyes are hoping for a second-consecutive NCAA tournament bid. If chosen, games will be played at St. John Arena in Columbus, Ohio, March 20 and 22. Tickets are available by calling 1-800-GOBUCKS. Turner is a third team media selection and a coaches’ honorable mention All-Big Ten pick. She leads Ohio State with 6.2 rebounds per outing, is the team’s second-leading scorer with 12.8 points a game and has scored double figures in all but three contests this season. Turner became the 22nd member of the Ohio State 1,000-point club in the first half of play at Iowa Feb. 5. She is the second-leading shot-blocker in Ohio State history with 163 career blocks and averages 1.7 swatted shots per game this year. Turner’s 575 rebounds and her 135 steals are No. 16 and No. 18, respectively, in Buckeye annals. Turner has accumulated 10 double-doubles during her OSU tenure, including four this season. |

| Lindsay (Hilliard): The freshmen are really stepping up this year, especially Davenport in the post. Being the two starters in the paint, what kind of impact does she have on your game? | ||
| LaToya: Yes Lindsay, the freshmen are stepping up. I think they realized that they couldn’t be freshmen this year. Having Jess Davenport down low helps me out a lot; because it gives me a chance to step outside. | ||
| Kat (Defiance, Ohio): What have you done to overcome the injuries you have suffered during your career to work your way back? | ||
| LaToya: Kat, to overcome my injuries; i just decided that i needed to put them in the back of my mind and move forward. | ||
| columbus: are you superstitious? | ||
| LaToya: Columbus, i really don’t thinkt that i’m superstitious. But i’m sure everyone has some kind of ritual before every game. My only thing is that i have to take a shower and shave before every game. | ||
| Lorin (Columbus): I read in the program that you are majoring in art. What career are you interested in after basketball is over? | ||
| LaToya: After my college basketball career. I plan on playing in the WNBA, i’m not sure what team yet. But after basketball i would like to go into Art Therapy. I GRADUATE on Sun Mar 21st. | ||

| LaToya: One of the advantages of playing on our home court; is that we will have all of our friends, family and great fan support, cheering for us. | ||

| LaToya: Going to school and Playing basketball here at Ohio State is great. | ||

| LaToya: This season has been a wonderful year for me since i’ve been at OSU. One, because i’m healty, Two, i’m GRADUATING. | ||

| LaToya: How i got envolved in basketball? My dad forced me to play in seventh grade. I’ve grown to like it, then i fell in love with it :). None of my other family members play basketball, they just come to see me play. | ||
