Ohio State Synchronized Swimming Downs Richmond, 90-72 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State synchronized swimming team (8-0) defeated Richmond, 90-72, in a dual meet held Saturday in Richmond, Va. The Buckeyes swept the Spiders in all four routine events.
Katrin Eggenberger (Fr., Buchs SG, Switzerland) won the solo event for the Buckeyes, recording a score of 85.000. Chelsea Luker (So., Montreal, Quebec) and Carly Grimshaw (So., Markham, Ontario) teamed up to finish first in the duet with a mark of 91.500. Kate Hooven (Pleasanton, Calif.) and Becky Kim (Walnut Creek, Calif.) earned second place. Luker, Grimshaw and Lauren Marsh (Jr., Spring Valley, Calif.) finished first in trio and tallied a score of 89.500. The Buckeyes also took home first place in the team event with a mark of 94.500.
Ohio State will battle William & Mary tomorrow in Williamsburg, Va.
