Ohio State Advances to Face Houston in the Guardians Classic Semifinals – Ohio State Buckeyes

Missouri, Creighton, Ohio State, and Houston have advanced to the Championship Rounds of the 2004 Guardians Classic to be played on November 23rd and 24th at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo. The Opening Two Rounds of the Guardians Classic, a twelve-team exempt college basketball tournament, were held at Creighton, Missouri, and Ohio State on Nov. 15th and 16th.
The following teams will compete in Kansas City on November 23rd and 24th for the Guardians Classic Championship:
Tuesday, November 23rd 5:30 p.m. CST
Game 1 – Ohio State vs. Houston
Game 2 – Creighton vs. Missouri
Wednesday, Nov. 24th 5:30 p.m. CST
Consolation Game
Championship Game
Missouri, Creighton and Ohio State advanced to the Championship Rounds as the regional site winners with records of 2-0. Houston was selected as the “wild card” team.
The following were selected as the Most Valuable Players of their respective regional sites:
– Creighton Regional MVP: Nate Funk (Creighton)
– Missouri Regional MVP: Thomas Gardner (Missouri)
– Ohio State Regional MVP: Terence Dials (Ohio State)
