Attendance for the two games of the second night of the 2004Guardians Classic Tuesday night was 11,762. The meeting betweenOhio State and Robert Morris Tuesday marked the fifth time the twoteams have met. With the win, Ohio State improved to 5-0 in theseries. The last time the two teams played was during the 2000-01season, when Ohio State defeated the Colonials 88-46.

Ohio State opened game two of the Guardians Classic with a 16-4run in the first 11:29 of play. During the run, the Buckeyes shot57 percent from the field, hitting 8-of-14 field goals. TheBuckeyes closed the first half with a 15-2 run en route to a 40-16halftime advantage. The Buckeyes finished the game 33-of-62 fromthe field for 53 percent. The Buckeyes shot 50 percent (27-54) inthe win Monday over Morgan State. The last time Ohio State shotbetter than 50 percent from the field in consecutive games was Jan.31, 2004 at Purdue (.511) and Feb. 4, 2004 vs. Northwestern (.574).In the first half, Ohio State shot 60 percent from the field(17-28). With the winTuesday, the Buckeyes opened the season 2-0 for the first timesince the 2001-02 season, when the Buckeyes recorded a 78-54victory over Winthrop (Nov. 18) in the opener and an 87-62 triumphover Albany (Nov. 20). With the win, head coach Thad Matta improvedhis record at Ohio State to 2-0. Junior J.J. Sullinger opened thefirst half with 11 points to lead the team at halftime. Sullinger’sdouble-digit point total marked the second-consecutive game he hasscored in double-figures in a half. Sullinger had 10 points in thefirst half of Ohio State’s first contest in the Guardians Classicagainst Morgan State Monday. With the win, Ohio State improved to2-0 this season and will travel to Kansas City, Mo., Nov. 23 tocompete in the championship rounds of the 2004 Guardians Classic.The win Tuesday over Robert Morris, Ohio State now is 79-20 in itsseventh season in Value City Arena. Senior center Mark Anderson scored 12 of Robert Morris’ 16first half points. He finished with 20 points on the night. Heaveraged 12.5 points per game in the Guardians Classic. RMU openedthe game shooting 24 percent (7-29) in the first half, butrebounded in the second half to shoot 40 percent (12-30).
