Men’s Basketball To Take On Georgia Tech In Fifth Annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge – Ohio State Buckeyes

Columbus, Ohio-The Big Ten Conference, in conjunction with the ACC and ESPN, today announced the pairings for the fifth annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Ohio State will play host to Georgia Tech at 7 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 3 at Value City Arena. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
The Buckeyes last faced the Yellow Jackets in the first round of the 2003 postseason NIT, a 72-58 Georgia Tech victory in Atlanta, Ga. The Buckeyes are 10-2 all-time against the Yellow Jackets and have won eight of the last nine meetings. The last Buckeye victory came in the second round of the 1991 NCAA Tournament, 65-61. The Buckeyes are 5-0 all-time against Georgia Tech in Columbus.
The Buckeyes are 1-1 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. In 2001 the Buckeyes defeated North Carolina State, 64-50, in Columbus and lost to Duke, 91-76, last season in Greensboro, N.C.
ESPN and ESPN2 will combine to televise the nine-game Challenge Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 1-3, from eight different college campuses and one neutral site. It will mark the second-consecutive year that every game will be televised nationally in a three-day schedule.
