The Ohio State men’s 4×100-meter relay squad claimed first place at the Jesse Owens Track and Field Classic in a spectacular race as anchor Joel Brown edged Central Michigan’s Dana Thomas by just .02 in a photo finish. Sophomore Greg Norman ran the lead leg, while Drew Carter and Michael Jenkins, fresh from spring football, ran the middle legs as the squad posted a season-best 41.24 in the event.
Women’s lacrosse player Caroline Weatherill had a team-high five goals in leading the Buckeyes to a 15-9 victory over Ohio May 2.
