Joel Brown (Jr., Baltimore, Md./ Woodlawn) continued a stellar 2003 Indoor season by placing first in the 55-meter hurdles at the Scarlet and Gray Invitational with a time of 7.18, which automatically qualified him for national competition. Brown’s time at the Scarlet and Gray Invitational set an Ohio State record in the 55m hurdles. Brown’s efforts also merited Male Big Ten Athlete of the Week recognition for Feb. 25.
Molly Logan (Sr., Darby, Pa.) completed the Ohio State sweep of the hurdles events at the Scarlet and Gray Invite as she captured first place for the fourth straight week with a French Field House record-setting 7.79 performance in the 55m hurdles. The mark serves as a provisional qualifier to the NCAA Championships and earned an Ohio State sweep of the Big Ten Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors.
