Ohio State Synchronized Swimming Beats Michigan, 30-22.5 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State synchronized swimming (3-0) defeated Michigan, 30-22 Saturday in the varsity pool at Larkins Hall. The meet featured only technical events.
Leslie Edgerton (Fr./Cincinnati, Ohio) placed first in technical elements with a score of 81.686 while Katie Meyer (Sr./Cincinnati, Ohio) and Sharon Meijia (Sr./Vallejo, Calif.) finished second and third, respectively. Erin Schmidt (Fr./Cincinnati, Ohio) placed first in “B” figures with a mark of 76.914 and teammates Stephanie Raftery (Fr./Cincinnati, Ohio) and Jessica Beck (Fr./Richmond, Va.) place in the second and third-place spots. In the “C” Figures event, Mary Elliott (So./Harrison, Ohio) earned first place honors while Kris Moyer (Sr./Bellevue, Ohio) finished third in “D” figures.
The Buckeyes return to action at a tri-meet Feb. 1 with Alabama-Birmingham and Georgia in Birmingham, Ala.
