Radinovic, Big Ten Foreign Team Arrive in Germany – Ohio State Buckeyes

Cologne, Germany — A travel wary group of Big Ten basketball players, coaches and staff arrived in Cologne, Germany today after the first leg of the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Foreign Tour.
Coach Bill Self decided to allow the team, which includes Ohio State center Velimir Radinovic, to sleep in Saturday morning before opening play that night. The team flew 8 1/2 hours from Chicago to Frankfurt before bussing another two hours to Cologne. The team will play two games in Germany, including Sunday’s game against Telekom Basketball Club of Bonn, one of Germany’s top teams.
The team practiced four days in Champaign, Ill., before heading overseas.
“We’ve had a lot of fun over the last four days since we’ve come together,” said Illinois senior Sean Harrington. “It’s been good to see another side of all these players. I think we’re all looking forward to a good nights sleep before we start playing games tomorrow.”
