The Ohio State men’s basketball team earned its 22nd trip to the NCAA tournament by winning the 2002 Big Ten Tournament Sunday in Indianapolis. With the 81-64 victory over Iowa, the Buckeyes earned the Big Ten’s automatic bid to the 65-team tournament. Ohio State head coach Jim O’Brien has taken the last four Ohio State teams to the NCAA tournament, a feat never before accomplished at Ohio State. As the No. 4 seed in the West Region, The Buckeyes open NCAA tournament play at about 3 p.m. (EST) Thursday in Albuquerque, N.M., against No. 13 Davidson.
