Recap| Box Score| Notes
Purdue Head Coach Gene Keady
“We were patient on offense and we got some good shots early in the first half. We switched defenses and that seemed to bother them a bit. They adjusted to it well and started making shots.
“They’re a good shooting team, but you have to get out and guard them. We have a bunch of good kids, we just don’t play good defense. We have really been lacking defensive intensity all year.
Ohio State Head Coach Jim O’Brien
“It is good to back home. I really want to thank our fans. They had a huge hand in this win.
“It is also nice to make some shots. Our guys got a lot of open looks. We did a good job attacking the high-low zone and finding the open man. We did a good job guarding them especially in the second half. We were a little scattery early on, but we were patient and got some open looks.
“We only talk about controlling what we can control. We can’t worry about what Indiana and other teams are doing. We just have to worry about ourselves.”
Sean Connolly
“It was great to back home and get a win tonight. Our defense was huge. We were able to stop them and hit open threes. Boban (Savovic) had a huge first half and Terence (Dials) was able to get more shots down low.
“All four of our guards were on fire. We adjusted to their defense and made shots when we had to. It was a huge win for us.”
Brian Brown
“This was a big win because it gives us a big confidence boost going into Tuesday.
“We were confused a little by their defenses in the first half, but we figured out what they were doing and adjusted well. Our instinct allowed us to make shots and open up the lead.
“Everybody played well. We played unselfishly and shot with confidence.”
Boban Savovic
“In the second half, our guards did a great job. I was trying to get good outside shots. I wasn’t forcing the ball inside.
“We have one more home game to go. With it being senior night there is going to be a lot of emotion.”
