With the win over Iowa Ohio State improves to 18-5 on the yearand 9-3 in the Big Ten. The win assures the Buckeyes of no worsethan a first-place tie in the league standings heading intoWednesday’s game at Indiana (8-3 prior to Sunday’s game atMichigan). The Buckeyes have won three in a row in Iowa City (69-68last year) and 73-69 in 1999. The two schools did not meet in IowaCity during the 1999-2000 campaign. O’Brien’s overall record atOhio State now stands at 96-54 and his conference mark is 46-30.The win over the Hawkeyes snapped a two-game OSU losing streak(both games on the road) and improved OSU’s road record to 3-3. TheBuckeyes have had four players score in double figures in each ofthe last three games. On the season, it has happened 10 times. With14 points against Iowa, Ohio State senior guard Brian Brown now has1,201 career points, a total that ranks him 25th in school history.Luke Witte (1971-73) is 24th with 1,211, John Havlicek (1960-62) is23rd with 1,223 and Larry Siegfried (1959-61) is 22nd with 1,228.Brown nailed career three-pointer No. 90 against the Hawkeyes tomove into sole possession of ninth place on the all-time OSU list.Senior guard Boban Savovic is eighth with 106.
