Women’s Rowing Falls to No. 1 Brown and No. 3 Princeton – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio–The No. 10 Ohio State women’s rowing team took on No. 1 Brown and No. 3 Princeton in Princeton, N.J., Saturday. The Buckeyes finished third in the first and second varstity 8 events and second in the first varsity 4 event.%^$
%^$Brown won the first varsity 8 event with a time of 6:23.9. Princeton was second (6:26.6). OSU checked in with a time of 6:39.5.%^$
%^$”We expected to perform much better,” Andy Teitelbaum, OSU head coach, said. “We were at one of the premier dual regattas in the country. I think we learned a great lesson. If you’re not right on, you’re going to be left behind. I’m glad we saw what we saw.”%^$
%^$In the varsity 4 event, OSU finished second (7:32.1). Brown won the event (7:35.6) and Princeton finished third (7:35.6).%^$
%^$”I think the varsity 4 had a great race,” Teitelbaum said. “That was a tight race all the way through.”%^$
%^$Brown won the second varsity 8 (6:39.5). Princeton was second (6:40.0) and OSU finished third (6:50.4)%^$
%^$”The second varsity had a solid row,” Teitelbaum said. “They went up against two extremely deep programs.”%^$
%^$OSU will host Cincinnati Sunday, April 8, at the Griggs Reservior on the Scioto River.%^$
