OSU Ties With Stanford In Team Semifinal – Ohio State Buckeyes

After a clean sweep of first place wins yesterday in the solo, duet, and trio semifinals, OSU’s performance in the team semifinal today produced a score of 97.267 to tie with Stanford at the 2001 Collegiate National Championships. OSU and Stanford are the frontrunners of the competition and tomorrow’s final competitions in the solo, duet, trio and team will be a close call in determining what school will take home the national title.%^$
Swimming for OSU’s `A’ squad today were Victoria Bowen (So., Plano, Texas), Katie Edwards (Sr., Greer, SC), Mary Hofer (Jr., Spring Valley, Calif.), Suzanna Hyatt (So., Indianapolis, Ind.), Beth Kreimer (Jr., Cincinnatti, Ohio), Anna Eng (Sr., West Chester, Pa.), Kristen Price (Jr., Mesa, Ariz.) and Isabela Moraes (Jr., Sao Paulo, Brazil).%^$
OSU’s `B’ team nabbed third place in the team semifinal with the score of 94.067.%^$
OSU is vying for its second consecutive and 21st title overall in the 25th year of the championship. Competition will conclude tomorrow.%^$
