The Buckeyes’ last road win over a ranked opponent ame atIndiana last season (2/19/00) when the No. 7 Buckeyes defeated No.10 Indiana, 82-71. An unranked Ohio State team last defeated aranked opponent on the road at Wisconsin (1/2/99) when the Buckeyesprevailed 78-74 over the No. 19 Badgers. The Ohio State bench cameup big vs. the Hawkeyes with 25 points and 14 rebounds whileconnecting on 8-of-14 field goals (.571). Iowa’s bench had 14points, 4 rebounds. Ohio State made 24 field goals vs. the Hawkeyeswith 21 of those coming off an assist. Sean Connolly lead theBuckeyes with a career-high six assists. Johnson is now No. 4 all time. Johnson is one ofeight players in Ohio State history to start 100 or more games inhis Buckeye career. He will pass No. 3 Perry Carter (116) with acouple more starting nods. Johnson blocked six shots, giving him420 for his career – 8 behind former Penn State star Calvin Booth,who rejected 428 from 1995-99. Johnson is just the second player inBig Ten Conference history to block 400 or more shots in a career.With 101 blocked shots this season, Johnson stands No. 2 on the OSUsingle-season chart. Johnson holds the top three spots on the listwith 161 (No. 1) last season and 100 (No. 3) in 1998-99. SeanConnolly hit both of his free-throw attempts, extending his streakof consecutive free throws made to 22. He has not missed a shotfrom the line since (12/13/00).
