The Ohio State rowing team entered 13 boats in the Speakmon Head race at Griggs Reservoir Saturday and each Buckeye boat finished in the Top 10. Each race that included an OSU boat was won by a Buckeye boat. In the women’s eight race OSU finished first, second and sixth. Cincinnati had two boats in the competition, which finished third and fourth. Dayton’s only entry rounded out the Top 5 finishing fifth. Andy Teitelbaum, Ohio State head coach, said this event was a chance to get the whole team involved and was a good warm up for their final fall event, the Rivana Romp. “We were really pleased with the way our whole team preformed and we are looking forward to November 11th in Charlottesville,” Teitelbaum said. Ohio State will finish its fall schedule when it travels to Charlottesville, Va., on Nov. 11 to compete in the Rivana Romp.
