Ohio State Men’s and Women’s Basketball to Hold Public Scrimmage – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio State men’s and women’s basketball fans will get their first glimpse of the 2001-02 Buckeye teams Nov. 1 at the Ohio State Basketball Preview presented by the Merrymaker Foundation. The event will be held at Value City Arena.
The Merrymaker Foundation supports scholarships for minority Columbus students attending Ohio State.
Beth Burns, head coach of the OSU women’s team, and Jim O’Brien, head coach of the men’s team, will lead their respective teams through a public scrimmage as part of the scheduled events.
Both teams will scrimmage under game conditions for 20 minutes each. An autograph session will follow.
Tickets cost $10 and are available by calling the Ohio State Athletics Ticket Office at 614-292-2624 or 1-800-GO-Bucks. Tickets will be sold at the door as well. Groups of 25 or more can purchase tickets for a cost of $7 per person.

6:00 p.m. – Doors Open
6:45 p.m. – Women’s team takes the floor
7:00 p.m. – Women’s team introductions
7:05 p.m. – Women’s scrimmage begins
7:45 p.m. – Men’s team takes the floor
8:00 p.m. – Men’s team introductions
8:05 p.m. – Men’s scrimmage begins
8:45 p.m. – Approximate start of autograph session
9:30 p.m. – Programs ends
