Ohio State Fencers Finish Midwest Championships In Third Place – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio– The Ohio State fencing team finished the Midwest Fencing Championships in third place. The Buckeyes finished behind tournament winner Notre Dame and runner-up, Northwestern. The Buckeyes scored 730 points at the tournament. The men’s squad finished second overall with 375 points. Notre Dame won the men’s competition with 450 points. The women’s squad finished in third place with 355 points. Northwestern won the women’s competition with 435 points. Notre Dame finished second with 410 points.%^$
%^$Several Buckeyes finished first in their weapon. Alan Jones was first in the men’s epee and Fane Groes in the women’s foil. Greg Carlino finished tied for third in the men’s foil competition.%^$
