Women’s Soccer Players Named To All-Ohio Teams – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio– Two members of the Ohio State women’s soccer team were recently%^$named to the All-Ohio Team for the 2000 season. Representing the Buckeyes are%^$Lindsay Eckles (So., Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson), a second-team All-Ohio selection,%^$and third-team selection Elizabeth Moore (So., Centerville, Ohio/Centerville).%^$
%^$”We’re excited to have both players recognized as being some of the best in the state of%^$Ohio,” Lori Walker, OSU’s head coach, said. “Anytime that a player is recognized for their%^$performances by another coach is a true honor.”%^$
%^$Eckles played the forward position and led the team in scoring (10 goals) and points (24)%^$for the second-consecutive season. She also added four assists and started all 19 games for%^$the Buckeyes in 2000.%^$
%^$”Lindsay (Eckles) played up top (forward) for the second-consecutive year and continues to%^$be a force in our attack,” Walker said. “She had another great year for us.”%^$
%^$Moore anchored the OSU defense and was a starter in 17 of the Buckeyes’ 19 games this%^$season.%^$
%^$”Lizzy (Moore) was our enforcer in the back,” Walker said. “She had a consistent year and%^$was probably one of the toughest defenders for anyone to get by.”%^$
%^$Walker also credited her team.%^$
%^$”The team definitely contributed to these selections,” Walker said. “I know both players%^$would agree they wouldn’t have been able to do it by themselves.”
