Merrymakers to Hold Fund-Raiser to Benefit Men’s and Women’s Basketball – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Merrymakers Club and the Merrymakers Foundation, Inc., is a nonprofit civic and social organization founded in 1926 by a group of young African-American men. For over 20 years, the Merrymakers have sponsored a scholarship reception and banquet featuring the Ohio State basketball teams. Last year the venue was changed and a pep rally emerged. All proceeds from the pep rally are donated to Ohio State for the purpose of providing scholarships to deserving students. Since its inception, the Merrymakers have contributed over $200,000 to the fund, assisting countless young people.
This year, the Merrymakers will be holding a pep rally for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams at 6 p.m., Nov. 30 at the Value City Arena.
There will be facility self-guided tours, face painting (for the children), coach and player introductions followed by player autographs. Admission is $10. Tickets are available at the door or in advance by calling 1-800-GO BUCKS.
