Ohio State Wrestlers Finish Wendy’s Classic, 2-1, At Ashland. – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio –
Ohio State finished the Wendy’s Classic, 2-1 at Ashland, on Sunday. The Buckeyes defeated Binghamton, 37-9, Cleveland State, 24-19, but lost to host school Ashland, 19-16. Ohio State is now 7-4 overall and 0-1 in Big Ten dual meets.
Three Buckeyes finished the meet undefeated. No. 10-ranked Nick Preston (So., Columbus, Ohio) pinned his first two opponents and won his third match of the day 7-2. Preston has won eight straight dual meet matches. Joel Walker (So., Columbus Ohio) finished the day undefeated and won his matches, 19-7, 1-0, and 19-8. The third Buckeye to finish the meet undefeated was Donovan True (Sr., Oshkosh, Wis.). True pinned his first opponent and won his other two matches 8-2, and 7-1.
The Buckeyes return to action Sunday Jan. 23 against Illinois and Brown in historic St. John Arena at 11 a.m.
