Ohio State Finishes Home Season with Win Over Illinois-Chicago – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State men’s gymnastics team bade farewell to four of its seniors in a victory over the visiting Illinois-Chicago Flames 230.350-223.050 tonight in St. John Arena. In their final home event, all seniors scored victories on the night, with Buckeye Doug Stibel (Sr., Canton, Mich.) winning the vault and the all-around title. Jamie Natalie (So., Hockessin, Del.) shared a win on the floor exercise with teammate Tim Elsner (Sr. Middletown, N.J.). Natalie also won the horizontal bar. Peter Landry (Sr., Lewiston, Maine) ended his home career with a win on the parallel bars. The Flames had a win on the still rings from Mike D’Antino.
The Buckeye senior class finishes its home career with a perfect unbeaten streak of 11 consecutive wins. Overall, they move to 25-2 in their career dual-meet history, with the teams remaining meet coming next weekend. Ohio State travels to Temple University on March 20 to take on the Owls in the final meet of the season.
