Ohio State Defeats Eight Schools In The OSU College Association Meet – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State synchronized swimming team is undefeated after winning its third meet of the season today. Ohio State, with a winning score of 110, defeated eight other schools, including Big Ten rivals Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Michigan in todays OSU College Association meet at the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center. In senior figures, Carolina Moraes (Fr., Sao Paulo, Brazil) captured first place over her own teammate and twin sister Isabela Moraes (Fr., Sao Paulo, Brazil) with a score of 82.123. Chana Rosen (Fr., Richmond, Va.) scored a 73.430 in the junior figures for first place.
The Moraes twins captured two more victories with a stunning performance in the duet competition, scoring a 96.200 and with teammate Mary Hofer (Fr., Spring Valley, Calif.) in the trio event (94.267). Ohio State ended the day with a victory by the “A” squad in the team competition, who scored a 95.600 over the “B” squad, who posted a 90.300 for second place.
The Buckeyes “A” squad will travel to Richmond, Va. to compete against Richmond on Feb. 20 and the “B” squad will compete in the Wheaton Invitational on the same day.
