Women’s Rowing Opens Fall Regatta Season – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State women’s varsity crew opened the fall regatta season at the Head of the Ohio on the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh, Pa. Saturday, earning 21 points. %^$
%^$In the open eight event, the A Crew placed fifth with a time of 13:19.9 and the B Crew finished 12th at 13:54.2. All three squads, A, B and C, finished in the Top 20 in the open four race. The A Crew recorded a time of 17:00.7 to finish ninth. With a time of 17:26.2, the B Crew had a 15th-place finish and the C Crew placed 19th with a time of 18:03.0.%^$
%^$Four women placed in the open singles event. Connie Kirsch (So., Potsdam, Germany) had a second-place finish with a time of 18:31.6. Maxi Meissner (Fr., Schoenow, Germany) placed sixth at 18:57.2. Freshman Phae Giblin (NSW Australia) recorded a time of 20:01.7, to finish 13th. With a time of 20:24.6, junior Katie Buttine (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) placed 15th.%^$
%^$The Buckeyes continue their fall schedule with the Head of the Charles in Boston, Mass. Oct. 23-24.%^$
