Men’s Gymnastics Falls to Nebraska – Ohio State Buckeyes

LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska beat Ohio State 230.675-230.175 in a men’s gymnastics meet Sunday night, dropping the Buckeyes record to 9-4 overall.
Nebraska, the No. 1 team in the nation, posted the best score of any team in the nation Sunday night. The Buckeyes also recorded a team season best score for the second week in a row.
This was the first meet that Ohio State scored over 230 and is the best road score of any team this year. Ohio State’s Jamie Natalie (Fr., Hockessin, Del.) won the all-around competition with a career high score of 57.975.
Natalie finished ahead of Nebraska’s Jason Hardabure (57.625) and Derek Leiter (57.525), who finished second and third respectively. Natalie also won the parallel bars and the vault. Ohio State’s Peter Landry (Jr., Lewiston, Maine) tied for first place on the rings, Doug Stibel (Jr., Canton Mich.) won the horizontal bar and Mike Morgan (Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio) tied for first place on the floor exercise.
This was the last regular season meet for the Buckeyes before the Big Ten meet held March 20-21 in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Buckeyes have won the last two Big Ten meets.
