Buckeye Women’s Crew Team Names Captains – Ohio State Buckeyes

Columbus, OH– The Ohio State women’s crew team has named its captains for the 1998-99 season. Seniors Kathy Milette (Hudson, Ohio) and Mira Carrigg (Batavia, Ill.) will lead the Buckeyes into the spring season, which begins at the San Diego Classic in California March 27.
Milette has been a part of the crew team since its inception in 1995. She has been an Ohio State Scholar-Athlete in each of her three years as well as an academic all-Big Ten selection for the 1996-97 season. The starboard rower was a member of the club ice hockey team her freshman year before joining the crew team. Milette is majoring in art history.
Carrigg also has been rowing with the crew team since it has been a varsity sport. She was an Ohio State Scholar-Athlete in 1995-96 and 1996-97 as well as an academic all-Big Ten selection in 1996-97. Prior to joining the crew team, the port rower was a goalkeeper for the women’s soccer team, where she was an Ohio State scholar-athlete in 1994-95. Carrigg is majoring in international business.
