COLUMBUS, Ohio – Freshman forward Courtney Nein (Middletown, Ohio) was named to the Soccer America Team of the Week for her three-goal performance at the Big Ten Conference tournament last weekend.
The first-year striker was also named Big Ten co-Player of the Week as she netted two game-winning goals, vaulting the Buckeyes into their first-ever Big Ten Championship match. She scored the only goal in a 1-0 upset of No. 2 seed Wisconsin and tallied two scores as OSU upended No. 3 Indiana, 3-2 in the semifinal. The Buckeyes lost the championship match, 2-0 to tournament host Penn State.
