Men’s Lacrosse Signs Thirteen to National Letters of Intent


COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State men’s lacrosse head coach Nick Myers announced the signing of 13 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday. The newest members of the Buckeye lacrosse family will join the roster for the 2024 season.

“Our team is excited to officially welcome these young men and their families to Ohio State and into the Buckeye Lacrosse brotherhood,” Myers said. “This is a very talented class that brings a high-level of skill and athleticism, but it is also a very strong group in the classroom and community. We are really looking forward to watching these young men grow and develop over the next four years in Columbus.”

Aiden Bodonyi | LSM/Defense | Western Reserve Academy | North Ridgeville, Ohio

  • Two-sport student-athlete at Western Reserve Academy, competing in lacrosse and crew
  • Starter for the Pioneers’ lacrosse team for his entire career
  • Played club for Resolute Lacrosse
  • Son of Rae and Peter Bodonyi and has a brother, Jaxson
  • Indends to major in psychology
  • Why Ohio State: “I was born and raised in Ohio. I always wanted to play lacrosse for the Buckeyes. But, I ultimately chose Ohio State for the family structure that supports academic and athletic success and balance.”

Cayden Christopher | Midfield | Pickerington H.S. North | Pickerington, Ohio

  • Two-sport student-athlete for Pickerington H.S. North, playing lacrosse and football
  • Two-year captain of the Panthers’ lacrosse program
  • Twice named to the all-conference and all-region teams
  • 2021 OCC Conference Player of the Year
  • Set a school record for single season goals with 61 during his sophomore campaign
  • Scored a school-record nine goals in a game
  • Team MVP in 2021 and best offensive player in 2022
  • Helped the Panthers to the OCC Conference Championship in 2022
  • Has tallied 122 goals and 31 assists for his career
  • Played five years for Resolute Lacrosse
  • Leading scorer and starter for his club team
  • Son of Brittany and Corey Christopher and has a sister, Cillian
  • Intends to major in business
  • Why Ohio State: “I have grown up in the great state of Ohio and have always wanted to be a Buckeye!”

Alex Dixon | Midfield | Western Reserve Academy | Lexington, Mass.

  • Four-year letterwinner at the Brooks School
  • Completing his postgraduate year at Western Reserve Academy
  • Named First Team All-League and All-State
  • Earned Boston Lax All-America honors
  • Team captain of the Pioneers
  • Garnered team offensive MVP recognition
  • Eight-year member of the Fighting Clams Lacrosse club and is the team’s leading scorer
  • Intends to major in finance
  • Son of Karen and Andrew Dixon and has a brother, Charlie
  • Why Ohio State: “The brotherhood and culture that has been created is unlike any other school. When I visited, I felt at home the moment I stepped on campus and knew I wanted to be a Buckeye.”

Owen Fischer | SSDM | Loyola Blakefield H.S./Western Reserve Academy | Glen Arm, Md.

  • Two-sport student-athlete in at Loyola Blakefield, playing basketball and lacrosse
  • Two-year starter in lacrosse and four-year player for the basketball program, earning All-League honors
  • Played one year of club for Looneys Lacrosse and was a starter
  • Involved in a variety of community service activities including giving back to the homeless and less fortunate in Baltimore
  • Intends to major in business
  • Son of Brigid and Chuck Fischer and has two siblings, Mitchell and Addie
  • Sister, Addie, plays lacrosse at Villanova

Kyle Foster | Defense/LSM | Boys’ Latin School of Maryland | Phoenix, Md.

  • Three-sport student-athlete at Boys Latin School of Maryland, lettering in lacrosse, volleyball and basketball
  • Four-year player for the Lakers’ lacrosse team and starter
  • Led his team to a 2021 MIAA Championship
  • Earned All-MIAA honors, First Team All-Metro and Second Team All-State in 2022
  • Named the Lakers’ best defender his junior season
  • Played club for Crabs Lacrosse
  • Helped his team to NLF and Crabfeast championships last season as a starter
  • Intends to major in business or sports medicine
  • Son of Beverly and Richard Foster and has four siblings: Adam, Eric, Lindsay and Patrick
  • Father, Richard, played lacrosse at Roanoke College and brother, Patrick, played at North Carolina

Caleb Fyock | Goalie | St. John’s College H.S. | Bowie, Md.

  • Two sport student-athlete at St. John’s College H.S., playing lacrosse and football
  • Three-year starter for the Cadet’s lacrosse team
  • 2022 Named First Team All-WCAC and First Team All-Met
  • 2022 USA Lacrosse All-American
  • 2022 All-USA Today HSSA Boys Lacrosse Team and Player of the Year finalist
  • High School National Champion
  • 2022 WCAC Champion, undefeated
  • C. Championships champion
  • Currently plays club for the Baltimore Crabs
  • Two-time Naptown Champion and Defensive Player of the Naptown Tournament
  • Son of Robert and Jessica Fyock and has two siblings, Aleric and Addison
  • Brother, Aleric, is a goaltender at Penn State

Garrett Haas | Attack | Lovejoy H.S./Lone Peak H.S. | Fairview, Texas

  • Four-year letterwinner in lacrosse, including three years at Lovejoy H.S. (Texas) and Lone Peak H.S. (Utah)
  • Two-time Texas All-State honoree
  • All-American and Academic All-American
  • Four-time leading team scorer
  • Two-year captain
  • Named Utah Mr. Lacrosse in 2021
  • Intends to major in finance
  • Son of Janice and Ron Haas and has seven siblings: Jocelyn, Linsey, Tessa, Weston, Renae, Daniel and Caleb
  • Currently serving a two-year service mission in South Africa

Zach Hepworth | Faceoff Specialist | Avon Old Farms School | Golden Bridge, N.Y.

  • Led the Founders League in faceoff percentage as a junior in 2021
  • Helped his team to the finals of the Founders League in 2021

Caden Minniti | Midfield | Olentangy Liberty H.S. | Powell, Ohio

  • Two-sport student-athlete for Olentangy Liberty, playing both lacrosse and football
  • Four-year letterman on the Patriots lacrosse team
  • Project Midwest Tournament MVP
  • Competed at Maverik Showtime and earned the MVP award at the All-Star Game
  • National Honor Society student at Olentangy Liberty
  • Intends to major in physical therapy
  • Son of Rick and Erica Minniti

Jack Oldman | Faceoff Specialist/Midfield | The Hill Academy | Pickering, Ontario

  • Four-year student-athlete for the Hill Academy lacrosse team
  • 2022 Minto Cup Champion
  • Won a national championship with Team Ontario at the 2019 Canadian Field Lacrosse Championships
  • Also played hockey and was drafted from the AAA Minor Midget Mississauga Reps Hockey Club to the Saginaw Spirit in the OHL Entry Draft
  • Played five years of club ball for Edge Lacrosse
  • Captain and starter during his club career
  • Honors student and valedictorian of his class
  • Intends to major in engineering
  • Son of Monica and Craig Oldman and has two siblings, Caroline and Finn

Julian Targete | Midfield | Dexter Southfield H.S. | Boston, Mass.

  • Three-year letterwinner in lacrosse and will play his senior season at Dexter Southfield

  • Three-time invitee to NLF Futures at IMG
  • Two-time One Percent Showcase All-Star
  • USA Lacrosse National Team Development Program U15 Select National Team member after being selected to the national combine in 2019
  • Played seven years for the Boston Laxachusetts Lacrosse club
  • Son of Sabriya and Patrick Targete and has a sister, Briyana

Jackson Walsh | Midfield | Boys’ Latin School of Maryland | Baltimore, Md.

  • Two-sport student-athlete for the Boy’s Latin School of Maryland, lettering in lacrosse and basketball
  • Three-year starter for the Lakers’ lacrosse team
  • Helped the program to an MIAA Championship in 2021
  • Played club for Crabs Lacrosse and Looneys Lacrosse Club
  • Intends to major in business
  • Son of Shannon and Dennis Walsh
