
Meet the Buckeye Men’s Hockey Newcomers

COLUMBUS, Ohio – This fall, the Ohio State men’s hockey team will welcome eight new members. The group, which features skaters from six states/provinces (Florida, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ontario) and Norway, includes five forwards and three defensemen.
The newcomers will join 19 returnees from the 2019-20 Ohio State squad that was 20-11-5 and finished tied for second in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes, who ended the year ranked 10th, were No. 10 in the final PairWise rankings, poised for a fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament when the remainder of the season was canceled.

- Skated with Youngstown Phantoms in 2019-20, posting a 19-17-36 line in 49 games
- Spent 2018-19 at Quinnipiac University, appearing in 15 games for the NCAA Tournament team
- Played in the AJHL with the Brooks Bandits in 2017-18, notching 42 points (17g, 25a) in 52 games and adding three assists and four points in the playoffs
- Spent 2016-17 with the Springfield Jr. Blues, with 38 points, on 15 goals and 23 assists, in 56 games; named to NAHL Midwest All-Rookie Team and was the Blues’ Rookie of the Year
- Skated with the U.S. National U-17 Team and the USNTDP Junior Team in 2015-16, along with two games with the USHL Green Bay Gamblers
- Played for Team Comcast AAA team and at St. Augustine Prep

- Played in three games with USHL Muskegon in 2016-17
- Came up through Palm Beach Hawks organization
- Participated in Florida Panthers development camp in 2017

- 2020 NAHL Top Prospect selection
- Played in 52 games for the Brookings Blizzard in 2017-18, posting a 2-13-15 line; also skated in a game for the Topeka RoadRunners that year
- Began NAHL career with Topeka in 2016-17, with 12 points, including 10 assists, in 41 games played
- Played AAA hockey with Compuware and Portland Jr. Pirates

- Skated with Mississauga Rebels and Toronto Red Wings organizations

- Saw action in four USHL games with Chicago in 2017-18
