COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State’s Jack Myers is among 51 players nationwide on the men’s 2022 Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The lists include the top players across all three divisions of NCAA lacrosse and highlight the early contenders for the 2022 Tewaaraton Award.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.
Myers has been a mainstay and a consistent point-producer for the Buckeyes since day one. He already has 119 points in just 30 career games – an average of nearly four points per game – on 68 goals and 51 assists. Last spring, on the strength of a 45-point season that included a team-high 34 goals, Myers was a first-team All-Big Ten honoree. He finished third in the conference in goals per game (3.09), fourth in points per game (4.09) and scored at least two goals in each of Ohio State’s 11 games.
In last week’s 2022 season opener, Myers led Ohio State’s offense with an eight-point performance on five goals and three assists.
On the career lists, Myers is already 26th in points and is on pace to possibly become just the third player in program history with 100 career goals and 100 career assists. He’s been a standout in the classroom as well, earning Academic All-Big Ten and OSU Scholar-Athlete honors while majoring in finance at the Fisher College of Business.
