Eckman Leads Women Gymnasts Past Arizona State – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State women’s gymnastics team had several key wins from Susan Eckman (Sr., Boardman, Ohio) to defeat the visiting Arizona State Sun Devils 195.550-194.450 tonight in St. John Arena. Eckman shared wins on the vault with teammate Susan Kinkaid (So., Lighthouse Pt., Fla.) and Lindsey Vagedes (So, Warrenville, Ill.) and on the bar with Buckeye Mary Beth Doerr (Fr., Akron, Ohio). Vagades also shared a win with Eckman on the beam. Arizona State took the floor exercise behind the duo of Elizabeth Reid and Elizabeth McNabb, while Wendy Ellsberry tied for first on the beam and claimed the all-around title.
Ohio State closes its season next weekend when it hosts Pittsburgh on March 21 at 2 p.m.
