Ohio State Fall 2022 Academic All-Big Ten List

COLUMBUS, Ohio — This fall, 124 Ohio State student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Big Ten team, the Big Ten Conference announced Friday. In all, 1,619 student-athletes from across the conference were recognized from the seven fall sports.

The 124 honorees is the second-best all-time for Ohio State, behind only the 140 on last fall’s list. The sports included are field hockey, football, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team (as verified by being on the official squad list as of Nov. 1 for fall sports), have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Two Buckeyes were recognized for carrying perfect grade-point averages – Noah Ruggles, a graduate student on the football team, and Lindsay Stull, a sophomore on the women’s cross country team.

The football team had 39 honorees, while women’s cross country and men’s soccer both had 17. Field hockey and women’s soccer followed with 14 each, men’s cross country had 12 and 11 women’s volleyball student-athletes were recognized.
