Buckeye Men Win 4×400-Meter Relay College Championship – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio–The Buckeye men’s 4×400-meter relay team, ranked No. 15 in the nation, sped to a season-best time of 3:05.49 to win the 4×400 college championship in the final day of competition at the 107th running of the Penn Relay Carnival in Philadelphia, Pa.%^$
%^$Additionally, the women’s 4×400 team ran a season-best time of 3:36.05 giving them the third spot in the college championship with Onica Frasier (So., Brooklyn, N.Y.), Dalanda Jackson (Fr., Shaker Heights, Ohio), Tina Johnson (Sr., Burlington, N.J.) and Donica Merriman (Sr., Trotwood, Ohio) passing the baton.%^$
%^$George Hoover (Fr., Erie, Pa.) fared well in the javelin, throwing 67.40m (221’1?) to finish third in the championship.%^$
%^$In other action, Courtney Cornwall (Sr., Inwood, N.Y.) finished 38th in the 400-meter hurdles championship and Merriman placed eighth in the 100 hurdles championship. The Buckeyes won two championships and earned four Top 5 and two Top 10 finishes in three days of competition.%^$
%^$The Buckeyes host the 16th annual Jesse Owens Track Classic Sunday, May 6 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The classic serves as a tribute to one of the most famous, beloved and respected athletes in Ohio State athletics. Events are set to begin at 9 a.m. with 21 teams scheduled to compete.%^$
