Bailey to Compete with the U.S. Junior National Indoor Team

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Later this month, Ohio State freshman midfielder/forward Zella Bailey will participate in the now annual CanAm Indoor Series, which will take place March 18 and 19 at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada.
The series will feature squads from the Junior U.S. Men’s National Indoor Team, Junior U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team and Senior U.S. Men’s National Indoor Team. Bailey will be competing with the Junior National Indoor Team.
“This CanAm Indoor Series is a very good opportunity for our young indoor players to get their first taste of international competition,” said Jun Kentwell, who will serve as the head coach for the team. “With the next Indoor Pan American Cup (IPAC) scheduled for May 2024, this will also allow our coaching staff to evaluate each player’s potential for further international exposure.”
Bailey, who is from Virginia Beach, Va., played in all 19 games during her freshman season in 2022 and had seven points on three goals and one assist. Her goals came in wins over Northeastern, Lehigh and Ohio.
