Ah Chow and Nelson Travel to 2022 U.S. Gymnastics Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior all-arounder Justin Ah Chow and junior all-arounder Kameron Nelson are slated to compete at the 2022 U.S. Gymnastics Championships this weekend. The senior men’s division is scheduled to competed on Thursday and Saturday evenings, with both sessions beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

Both senior men’s sessions will be streamed live on FlipNow. Thursday’s session will air live on the Olympic Channel and shown on CNBC on Saturday at 1 p.m. Saturday’s session will air live on CNBC and shown on NBC on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

  • At the U.S. Classic, Nelson finished 16th overall in the all-around competition with a score of 76.729. Carrying over from the collegiate season, he was especially strong on floor and vault – scoring 14.029 and 14.300, respectively, to finish in the top-seven in each of the two events. Nelson also stuck his dismount on high bar to earn a 12.750. This is the first time in his collegiate career that he competed in the all-around.
  • Also at the U.S. Classic, Ah Chow competed on pommel horse, parallel bars and high bar. His best routine of the competition was on parallel bars where he earned a 13.150. He had previously qualified for the 2022 U.S. Gymnastics Championships through NCAA Championships this past season.
  • This is Ah Chow’s third U.S. Gymnastics Championships appearance as he previously competed in 2018 and 2019. This is Nelson’s second appearance after competing in 2019.
