COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s basketball program, along with the Big Ten Conference announced its 2021-22 schedule on Wednesday. The non-conference schedule features seven home games, the Big Ten/ACC Challenge and a trip to California. The Big Ten slate features nine games inside the Schottenstein Center. The Buckeyes open the 2021-22 season with five-consecutive home games, first hosting Bucknell on Wednesday, Nov. 10. Ohio State goes on to host Norfolk State (Nov. 14), Bowling Green (Nov. 17), Bellarmine (Nov. 23) and Cincinnati (Nov. 27) before going on the road for the first time. Ohio State will play the Cincinnati game at the Covelli Center.

The Buckeyes open conference play following the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, traveling to Purdue on Sunday, Dec. 5. Ohio State returns to the Schottenstein Center to host Mount St. Mary’s (Dec. 7) before hosting Indiana in the Big Ten home opener on Dec. 12. The Buckeyes host Alabama State (Dec. 15) before concluding the non-conference schedule at UCLA (Dec. 19) and San Diego State (Dec. 21). Ohio State wraps up 2021 at Michigan for a New Year’s Eve game.
The Buckeyes open 2022 with back-to-back home games against Penn State (Jan. 3) and Illinois (Jan. 6). OSU alternates home and away games for the remainder of January, hosting Michigan State (Jan. 12), Maryland (Jan. 20) and Michigan (Jan. 27), while traveling to Northwestern (Jan. 9), Minnesota (Jan. 15), Rutgers (Jan. 23) and Iowa (Jan. 31).
Ohio State also opens February with back-to-back games at the Schottenstein Center, hosting Rutgers (Feb. 7) and Nebraska (Feb. 10). The Buckeyes then travel to Illinois (Feb. 14) and Maryland (Feb. 17). The Illinois game marks the 40th anniversary of the first Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship game between Ohio State and Illinois on Feb. 14, 1982. OSU wraps up the regular season at home against Wisconsin (Feb. 20) and on the road against Michigan State (Feb. 27).
The 29th Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament will take place Wednesday, March 2, 2022 through Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
