Erin (Scheper) Ralston joined the athletic training staff in 2012 after serving as an athletic trainer at the University of Missouri. She has served many different sports during her tenure here at Ohio State including the Swim and Dive teams, Synchronized Swimming, Rowing, Men’s and Women’s Volleyball, and her current role working with our Gymnastics and Fencing teams.
Ralston received a Bachelor of Science in Allied Medical Professions in Athletic Training from Ohio State and a Master of Education in Health Education and Promotion degree from the University of Missouri. As a graduate assistant at the University of Missouri, Ralston provided coverage for the Softball team.Â
After completing her degree, Ralston transitioned into a full time athletic trainer position for Missouri continuing coverage for the Tiger softball team and spent a portion of her time in the rehabilitation clinic at the University of Missouri Orthopedic Institute. Ralston is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association, Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association, and the College Athletic Trainers’ Society, and serves as a preceptor in the Ohio State Athletic Training Education Program.Â
In addition, she holds a Certified Health Education Specialist credential and continues coursework to stay up to date on the gold standard in holistic athlete healthcare. She resides in Hilliard, Ohio with her husband, Matt and their two children.
