Charlie Dickey joined the Ohio State football program in February 2025 as a program assistant for the offensive. A veteran coach with more than three decades of experience, Dickey has coached offensive lines at five Power 4 programs: Arizona, Washington, Utah, Kansas State and Oklahoma State.Â
Dickey arrived at Ohio State after spending six seasons as offensive line coach at Oklahoma State, where his units consistently ranked among the Big 12’s best. In 2023, the Cowboys ranked seventh nationally in sacks allowed and blocked for the nation’s leading rusher. During his tenure in Stillwater, Oklahoma State offensive linemen earned multiple All-Big 12 honors.Â
Prior to Oklahoma State, Dickey spent 10 seasons at Kansas State under legendary coach Bill Snyder. He served as offensive line coach before earning promotions to run game coordinator in 2016 and co-offensive coordinator in 2018. Dickey helped lead the Wildcats to the 2012 Big 12 championship.Â
Before his time at Kansas State, Dickey coached at Utah from 2005-08, helping the Utes complete a 13-0 season and Sugar Bowl victory over Alabama in 2008. He also spent 13 seasons coaching in the old Pac-10, including 12 years at his alma mater, Arizona, and one season at Washington.Â
A graduate of the University of Arizona, Dickey was a two-year starting offensive lineman and earned second-team All-Pac-10 honors in 1984. He later spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 1987 NFL strike before beginning his coaching career.
