2015-16 Season: Was 16-4 with five falls, one technical fall and two major decisions … 7-2 in duals and 4-1 in conference duals … his 3-1 decision over Tyler Kral in the final match of the dual vs. Purdue gave the Buckeyes a 20-17 win … pinned Missouri’s James Romero in 4:40 in the opening match of Ohio State’s dual vs. the Tigers … fifth at the Cliff Keen Invitational where he went 5-2.
2014-15 Season: Wrestled in just 26 matches due to injury … was 13-13 overall and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships … three major decisions and six falls … fifth at the Michigan State Open and CKLV Invitational … pinned fifth-seeded Joe Stolfi of Bucknell in 43 seconds at the CKLV Invitational … when healthy, was ranked in the top 15 of his weight class.
2013-14 Season: NCAA championships qualifier; just one win away from earning All-America honors as a freshman; dropped a 10-2 major decision to No. 7 Mike McClure of Michigan State … finished eighth at 2014 Big Ten Championships … opened season with third-place finish at Clarion Open (Nov. 3) … beat Nos. 6 and 9 seeds at CKLV Invitational en route to eighth-place finish (Dec 6-7) … wrapped up first full regular season as a starter with a 5-3 victory vs. Virginia Tech’s Ty Walz (Feb. 23) … finished second on team among starters in falls with eight.
2012-13 Season: In first season as a Buckeye amassed 30 victories vs. five losses in open tournament action … in all, competed in nine open tournaments … 13 of 30 victories were falls … after third-place finish at UB Invitational (Nov. 4), was champion in six of next eight tournaments, including Michigan State Open (Nov. 11), Harris Open (Nov. 17), Cleveland State Open (Dec. 15), Storm Open (Jan. 5), Greyhound Open (Feb. 2) and Simonson Open (Feb. 9) … Ohio State Scholar-Athlete.
Prior to Ohio State: Four-year starter at Wadsworth High School … three-time Ohio High School Athletic Association state champion … amassed a 179-11 career record and 109 pins … 2009 Cadet Freestyle runner-up … Medina County Athlete of the Year … Wadsworth was crowned 2010 OHSAA team champions and finished third in 2011 … also lettered (3) in football (OL and DL) for Wadsworth.
