2013-14 Season – NCAA championships qualifier … finished seventh at Big Ten championships … finished third in 174-pound bracket at Clarion Open (Nov. 3) … sixth-place finisher at Michigan State Open (Nov. 9) … concluded the regular season a winner of six-of-seven matches, including a 4-3 win over No. 9 Lee Munster of Northwestern (Jan. 17) … finished season second on the team in major decisions with six … third (tie) on team for most dual wins with 11 … 28 overall wins good for third (tie) on the team.
2012-13 – NCAA Championships qualifier; drew No. 1 Kyle Dake of Cornell in first round and wrestled Dake to scoreless first and second periods, but Dake was able to pull out 3-0 victory; won back-to-back matches vs. Navy’s Peyton Walsh (6-1) and Appalachian State’s Zach Strickland (2-0) before bowing out in wrestlebacks (March 21-23) … finished eighth at Big Ten championships (March 9-10); opened championships with 6-2 win vs. No. 8 seed Austin Wilson of Nebraska … 19-18 overall; 6-8 in dual competition, including a 2-5 Big Ten record … began Ohio State career with fourth-place ?nish at UB Invitational (Nov. 4) … runner-up at Michigan State Open (Nov. 11), recording a technical fall and major decision, as well as a pair of decisions … a winner of three consecutive matches starting with Kent State’s Caleb Marsh (Dec. 14), 2-1, and Maryland’s Josh Snook, 12-4, and Hofstra’s Nick Terdick, 6-2, at the inaugural Grapple at the Garden (Dec. 16) before dropping a 4-2 decision to No. 19 Nick Moore of Iowa (Jan. 4) … won back-to-back matches vs. Indiana’s Ryan Konz, 6-4sv, (Jan. 18) and Frank Cousins, 8-3, (Jan. 20) before losing, 2-0, to eighth-ranked Conrad Polz of Illinois (Feb. 1).
