• Did not compete in any matches after joining the wrestling program to start the spring semester
PRIOR TO OHIO STATE
• Three-sport athlete at Amanda-Clearcreek where he played football, wrestled and ran track
• Ohio’s No. 1-ranked 195-pounder during his senior year and finished third at the state tournament
• As a football player, was the 2015 Eagle-Gazette Athlete of the Year and ran for over 3,000 yards over his junior and senior seasons
• Also played safety and linebacker
• Holds Amanda-Clearcreek’s single-game rushing record and broke the school’s all-time wins record for wrestling.
