2014 (Freshman): Started all 19 matches … made 76 saves to go along with a 1.71 goals-against average … tied for fourth in the Big Ten in saves … Big Ten Freshman of the Week (8/25) … made eight saves in a 1-0 shutout of No. 18 Duke in her first-career start … followed that up by making another eight saves against No. 4 North Carolina … tallied six saves against No. 4 Virginia Tech and at Toledo … made a save in a 3-0 shutout of George Mason … made five saves in 1-1 draw at Minnesota … tallied seven saves at No. 24 Michigan … recorded six saves against No. 23 Rutgers … Academic All-Big Ten and an OSU Scholar-Athlete.
2013 (Redshirt): Did not see any action as a freshman.
Team Chicago Academy: Megan was a member of Team Chicago Academy for the last five years and a four-year letterwinner at Metea Valley.
Metea Valley H.S.: Megan posted a 0.55 goals-against average as a senior en route to her second-consecutive all-state, all-sectional and all-conference honors … MaxPreps Player of the Year in 2012 … helped Team Chicago Academy to a third-place finish at nationals after winning the Illinois State Cup in 2012 … also lettered in basketball … was a three-time captain of both the soccer and basketball teams at Metea Valley.
Personal: The daughter of Gary and Carrie Geldernick … has two older brothers, Christopher and Tyler … enjoys playing soccer, basketball and softball.
