Q&A Prior to 2026-27 Season
Q: Did you grow up an Ohio State fan? Was that a big reason you decided to be a Buckeye?
A: Yes, I did grow up an Ohio State fan. I grew up 30 minutes away from here, so I've always just been a Buckeye and I knew that when I was younger. I always knew I wanted to play here and be here.
Q: What went into the decision to join Ohio State’s roster early?
A: What went into my decision was that in high school basketball, I was just too comfortable, and I wasn’t able to play to my fullest potential. I decided, why not do something that's harder where I'm challenged every day? That's why I decided to graduate early.
Q: If your teammates could describe you in one word, what would it be, and why?
A: They would probably say quiet but goofy because I'm very quiet, but I do like to say some things. I like to add my own little thing in sometimes, so I’d say quiet but goofy.
Q: What is one piece of advice that has motivated you to be where you are now?
A: My mom says to me, I actually got it tattooed, but she says, “Nobody cares,” and it just means, like, no one cares that you're tired or you're hungry or you're bored or about your excuses. Just get your work done, whether that's academically or on the court. Nobody really cares about why you're not doing something.
