- Finished fifth in the 200 Back (1:47.43) at the Shamrock Invitational; also posted a new personal best in the 400 IM with a time of 4:00.60
- Placed 13th in the 200 Back with a time of 1:48.21 at the Ohio State Invitational
- Opened his career as a Buckeye with a fourth-place finish in the 200 Back (1:51.61) vs. Alabama
